• Alde carbon filter should be changed once a year or before each season.
• If the water system in your vehicle has not been used for about 4-6 months, the carbon filter should always be changed before commissioning Alde AquaClear.

Alde AquaClear has a lifetime of about 70 cubic metres of water, or about 300 hours of active time. When used for about 20 minutes per day, the product life is about 900 days. The effect is reduced after 300 hours because build-up can occur on the UV-LED lens.

Yes, usage hours are saved.

The pressure drop through Alde AquaClear can reach 0.9 bar. Alde recommends a fresh water pump with a pressure of at least 2 bar.

• Between the fresh water pump and the heater/water heater.
• Fit the product on the pipe/hose line horizontally or vertically. (In vertical positioning, the water flow should be able to pump from the bottom up through the Alde Aqua-Clear UV-C to avoid air pockets that impair the purification performance. Mounting the unit in a downward direction can create air bubbles in the UVC unit and shorten its lifetime.

It is possible to mount the units in different relationships to each other. Alde recommends as few bends as possible between the units to reduce the risk of pressure drop, air in the system and leakage.

Yes. First the water should flow through the UVC unit and then through the carbon filter.

• Freezing, the unit has not been drained of liquid and then exposed to freezing temperatures.
• The seal on the carbon filter has not been removed and is blocking the flow through the carbon filter.
• The quick coupling in Alde AquaClear is not properly fitted.

May indicate a faulty installation, contact your nearest Alde Service Partner.

• Incorrect installation. Electricity is constantly led to the unit and not only when the fresh water pump is active.
• Pressure pump: White cable from AquaClear (+) is fitted before the pump pressure switch, this should be fitted after the pressure switch to start the product only when water flow is active.

Carbon filters are destroyed as combustible.
UV filters are sorted as electronics.

Fill in the date stamp on the filter. If you are unsure how long the carbon filter has been in use/unused, change the filter.

Water-filled unit must not be exposed to freezing temperatures. If there is a risk of frost, the unit should be drained. The product contains a glass in front of the UVC source and the glass risks cracking if the water in the unit freezes. Therefore, drain the UVC unit of water. This is best done by disconnecting the units in the Alde AquaClear system (UVC unit and carbon fibre). This allows air to enter the unit and any remaining water to expand.

The Alde AquaClear LED lights up when the fresh water pump is active and the Alde AquaClear system is actively purifying water.

Troubleshoot according to the list below:

1. Check the installation according to the installation instructions, the system may be installed incorrectly.
2. Does Alde AquaClear have power supply?
   – White cable from Alde AquaClear (+) for connection to positive line on fresh water pump is not properly connected.
3. When the Alde AquaClear icon is no longer displayed in the Alde control panel, the operating hours may have been reached which means that the unit is depleted. The number of operating hours of the Alde AquaClear can be checked in the Alde Control Panel.
4. The UVC LED in the Alde AquaClear has broken (the unit is depleted)

Troubleshoot according to the list below:

1. Check the installation according to the installation instructions, the system may be installed incorrectly.
2. Does Alde AquaClear have power supply?
   – White cable from Alde AquaClear (+) for connection to positive line on fresh water pump is not properly connected.
3. The UVC LED in Alde AquaClear has broken (the device is exhausted)
